Example for #1:
I am Pluto. I am a dwarf planet so I am much smaller than Earth. My diameter is only 1,430 miles across. My surface is made of rock and frozen gasses. If you want to build a colony on me, you will need to make sure you build only on the rocky places, not the frozen gas. You will also want to build many greenhouses with a lot of man-made sunlight. This is because I am 3.6 billion miles away from the sun and I do not get a lot of light. Because I get so little light, you will need to wear special space suits to keep warm if you go outside. If you don’t you will probably freeze because it is 387 degrees below zero on my surface! If you do come to live here on Pluto, it will take you 248 Earth years to travel around the sun. You could live your whole life in one year on Pluto! You could also have fun exploring my five moons! I hope you come to live here. I would love to have friends here on Pluto.
Example for #2
Hello, I am PLUTO, a dwarf-planet in our solar system. I was discovered in 1930 and named by an 11 year old girl. I am really cool, freezing COLD in fact! and you really should come visit me!
I am way, way out past Neptune, so I would be considered the 9th planet in our solar system if I was big enough! How big am I – well, I’m smaller than the United States, so that’s pretty small. Since I’m only 1,400 miles across, you could travel around Pluto and see the whole thing!
I’m 3.6 BILLION miles away from the sun, that the temperature here is 375 to 400 degrees BELOW ZERO!! Yes, that cold. If you like the cold, I’m the place to be.
I’m made of rock and ice. Because I’m so far from the sun, it takes me 248 earth years to go around the sun once and it takes about 6 ½ Earth days for one of my days – that means a lot more time in one day. I have 4 moons, so if you like observing the moon, you get to look at 4 of them here.
Because I’m so much smaller than Earth, my gravity is less than that on earth. If you weighed 60 pounds on earth, you’d only weigh 4 pounds on PLUTO!!
PLUTO Is pretty cool, isn’t it? Freezing in fact!
